🔬 MEPhI Expands Cooperation with Top Chinese Universities! 🇨🇳
MEPhI is strengthening ties with leading Chinese scientific and educational centers in nuclear physics, nuclear medicine, quantum technologies, and semiconductor physics! 🚀
Last week, MEPhI Rector Vladimir Shevchenko, Vice Rector Dmitry Savkin, and Director of the Quantum Center Nikolay Kargin visited China to discuss joint research and academic collaboration with:
✅ SIOM (Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics) – China’s top R&D center in laser physics and photonics. MEPhI signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop joint research labs, exchange students, and organize bilateral conferences. Did you know? SIOM’s Hall of Fame features MEPhI alumnus and Nobel laureate Nikolay Basov! 🏆
✅ SINAP (Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences) – Home to advanced research facilities like the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility and the SXFEL free electron laser. MEPhI and SINAP will explore collaborations in nanobiotechnology, molecular biology, and cutting-edge material science.
✅ Tsinghua University – One of China’s top universities! The delegation visited the university’s research reactor and atomic engineering center, opening new prospects for academic exchange.
✅ Peking University – A major step forward! MEPhI and Peking University’s Institute of Physics signed an agreement to collaborate on wide-gap semiconductors and quantum sensors based on NV-centered diamonds.

В прошедший понедельник состоялась экскурсия в Парк Победы, которая помогла иностранным студентам погрузиться в историю Великой Отечественной войны.
Ребята посетили мемориальные объекты и интерактивные экспозиции, которые продемонстрировали подвиг советского народа. Особое впечатление на студентов произвёл памятник «Трагедия народов», посвящённый жертвам нацистских преступлений.

Last Monday, the excursion to Victory Park took place, which helped international students to immerse themselves in the history of the Great Patriotic War.
Students visited memorial sites and interactive expositions that demonstrated the feat of arms of the Soviet people. The students were particularly impressed by the Tragedy of Nations monument dedicated to the victims of Nazi crimes.
