Following approval from the InterLink Foundation @itl_fdn , @inter_link Labs is officially launching its first Reverse Auction Buyback.
This first buyback is being conducted as part of the upcoming First 10 Million Linkers Celebration Program, with repurchased ITL intended to support community rewards and special activities dedicated to the first 10M Linkers.
⏰ PHASE 1 TIMELINE
Phase 1 will remain open for two week, starting today and ending on:
August 24, 2026 at 23:59:00 UTC
During this period, ITL holders who wish to participate may submit their offers through the official Reverse Auction Buyback form.
How It Works
1. Submit Your Offer
Enter the amount of ITL you want to sell and your asking price per ITL.
2. Deposit 0.1 ITL
Send 0.1 ITL to the official InterLink Labs Treasury wallet to verify your submission and prevent spam.
If your offer is not selected, the 0.1 ITL deposit will be fully refunded.
3. Submit Your Information
Provide your deposit TxHash and BEP20 USDT wallet address.
4. Reverse Auction Selection
After the submission period ends, @inter_links will review all offers and prioritize the most competitive prices based on the available treasury budget.
Selected participants will receive USDT directly to their submitted BEP20 wallet.
What Happens to the Repurchased ITL?
The repurchased ITL will be distributed as part of the upcoming First 10 Million Linkers Celebration Program. Any remaining ITL will be permanently burned.

This is quite a sensible direction from Vitalik. AI and quantum resistance should be two of the main priorities rather than Layer 2s. Layer 2s themselves struggle to leverage liquidity across one another, which leads to fragmentation and creates challenges for both UX and liquidity.
Vitalik chose to push the Layer 2 strategy around four years ago, but he has since redirected the Foundation following the departure of several core contributors.
That is also one of the reasons why InterLink did not initially focus heavily on or emphasize Layer 2 solutions.
Looking at the next five years, the foundation of the industry will still be digital assets themselves. The first question is whether those assets can meet strong security standards and remain resistant to quantum threats. Once that foundation is solid, the next question is whether those assets actually have real-world utility.
This is why InterLink is primarily focused on payments and real-world assets.
Getting the direction right from the beginning is extremely important. A single strategic mistake can cost an entire large ecosystem years of time and resources.
Regardless, congratulations to Ethereum and everyone holding $ETH.
