🚨 OLD BITCOIN WALLETS WAKE UP AFTER 13+ YEARS 👀

Two massive batches of early-era Bitcoin, linked to Casascius physical coins, have suddenly moved after being completely dormant for over 13 years, marking one of the rarest types of activity seen on the blockchain.

According to TimechainBot, both transactions were broadcast in consecutive blocks, showing extremely close timing and suggesting that the same entity or custodian may be involved.

🔎 Details of the Movements

Block 926566:
A transaction containing 1,000.00287192 BTC, dormant for 13.2 years, was broadcast.

Block 926567:
Another transaction containing exactly 1,000.00000000 BTC, dormant for 14.0 years, went live shortly after.

This is significant because these coins have not moved since the early days of Bitcoin, long before institutional participation, modern exchanges, or mainstream awareness existed.

🪙 What Are Casascius Coins?

Casascius coins are physical Bitcoins created between 2011 and 2013 by Mike Caldwell.
Each coin includes:

A tangible metal token (brass, silver, or gold-plated)

A private key hidden under a tamper-evident hologram

A fixed amount of BTC “loaded” onto the coin at the time of manufacturing

When the hologram is peeled, the private key becomes visible and the digital BTC can be redeemed on-chain, permanently destroying the physical collectible’s value as a sealed item.

These coins are considered:

Historical artifacts of Bitcoin’s early culture

Highly collectible, especially if still sealed

Rare, because only about 27,000 funded Casascius coins were ever produced, and many have already been redeemed.
