Nice to see you! Some facts about me to start with:

• I can proudly proclaim myself as Ukrainian. Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦

• Despite I have been playing chess a little since my childhood, I started to actively play chess and actually dived into it right after 17,5 years old ♟️

• Now I am 21, and I am playing chess both online (predominantly online) and OTB (On The (real) Board) already for 3,5 years. My highest rating is on Lichess, Bullet (super-quick chess), 2124, I am considering myself as advanced player, aiming to become an expert 🏆

• Also I am interested in writing (mostly poetry), programming, business field, data analysis and really enjoy walking outside (unfortunately, alone…) 🚶🏻

Important chess & science news!

Very soon I will be holding an experiment, aimed to discover a correlation between the IQ (also the considering such parameters as age and personality type) and the chess learning skills (at the early stages of chess learning). Are you interested in the results and the process of the experiment?..

Shortly about the experiment: a group of a few tens of people of different ages and backgrounds will be asked to complete few tests, including IQ test, provided to public by Mensa (organization of very smart people).
Afterwards, during three consistent weeks 8 hours of intensive chess training will be provided by me for this group of people.
During the final 2 hours, they all will be asked to play several times against chess bots of different difficulty levels, and so, according to my scheme, we will be able to at least approximately identify the final people’s chess rating (gained skill level during this short but intensive training).

The experiment is named QUICK:
Q stands for Quantitative
U — Understanding of
I — Intelligence and
C — Chess
K — Knowledge

As a one of the main outputs from this truly QUICK experiment will be the discovered correlation (most probably, it will be positive or just absent) between the IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and chess learning skills (at early stages). So, I would like to give you the opportunity to make your own predictions on the result of this upcoming research, and try to guess the approximate type of the correlation between the two above mentioned parameters by participating in the poll below.

Once my student showed me this countergambit against Italian Game: Blackburne-Kostić Gambit. Now its my time to show it to you all. Here I sacrificed a whole knight for a pawn and a strong pawn-controlled center. A bit more blunders from each side and you will see how the game has ended... 🤔
