So often we hear people saying, “He never gives me an expensive gift. That is why I have chosen this cheap gift for him” or someone might say, “I am going to buy an expensive gift for her because she is rich. She will return it with a better one.”

Is this what exchanging gifts is all about? While saying such things we forget the real meaning of a gift. Giving a gift or present should be done without expecting any compensation.
It is a voluntary act that does not require anything in return. Therefore it is totally different from trade. In Islam, giving gifts is a virtuous deed and an expression of love, friendship, and gratitude.

Assalamu alaykum,
Everyone should join the channel @niyso_eng and pay attention to the posts there, perhaps repost. Same username on Twitter as well.

There are not many groups out there with the correct aqeedah. So give your support to those who try to implement it as the governing creed of Chechnya, in sha Allah.
The first time I smelled my favorite perfume I stood still for a long time just enjoying it, it was so amazing, out of this world. Then I found out it had Saffron in it, which I heard was prohibited for men, I accepted the defeat. Months later I found out it’s only prohibited in some cases while it’s permissible in other cases. So I bought it. I drowned myself in it. Eventually my nose became blind to it. So I stopped using it for a while. Then I started again and it was just as amazing as it was the first time.

Moral of the story: Don’t overindulge in something you love, because it won’t satisfy you as much as it used to. Take breaks and enjoy wisely.

(The perfume in the pic is not the one I’m talking about)

“Whatever group you claim to be from, it’s okay, just come here and join us in the fight. I have no enmity with you. We have a common enemy, a kafir army attacking us. There is no time to split up and disagree. Join us, we will accept you, show you all the routes, show you our enemies, show you where all their mines are put. Just come and fight alongside us. And when we are done, we will settle our differences using the Quran and sunnah and see which one of us is right.”

Desert and the Pamirs, between the Bosporus and the Arabian Sea. It almost became an obsession which ultimately overshadowed all my other intellectual interests in the world of Islam. The questioning steadily grew in emphasis until I, a non Muslim, talked to Muslims as if I had to defend Islam from their negligence and indolence. This progress was imperceptible to me, until one day - it was in the autumn of 1925, in the mountains of Afghanistan - a young provincial governor said to me: "But you are a Muslim, only you don't know it yourself." I Was struck by these words and remained silent. But when I returned to Europe once again in 1926, I realized that the only logical consequence of my attitude was to embrace Islam.
Does anyone know in depth about the topic “The earth does not consume the shaheed” ?
Heard this in Anwars lecture and I’m wondering if it’s in a literal sense. I’ve heard stories where shuhada have been found long after a time where the body would naturally have started to decompose, in a fresh state. Recent case was Abdullah from France.

The intelligence of Anwar was undoubtedly unmatchable. His speech and way of formulating himself both in the religious and political aspect was unlike anything I’ve ever heard from modern speakers. Everything he said, all of his lectures I’ve heard so far are filled with the utmost genuine message as well as it being fortified against misinterpretation and abuse of his statements. To give you an example, when he was asked “what group should we join” he didn’t mention a specific group. He responded with “I will tell you the characteristics of the group you should join from the Quran and sunnah” and he went on to explain it. He did not mention a single group when he could in fact do so and not be wrong. But why was this an excellent move on his end?

1. He does not incriminate himself.
2. Once a group is mentioned then he gives those attributes to that specific group and it will follow them forever, even if they deviate in the later future.

Do you see the excellence in that? I do. We’ve seen several groups who were upon the correct methodology that later deviated, some more than others. If he would have mentioned a specific group, then the later members of that group can use his statement as proof of their righteousness, even if they are deviated. And we’ve seen this happening to this day. And this is what I mean by he’s fortified from misinterpretation and abuse of his statements.

Just like individuals, a group can go from guided to misguided and vice versa.

At the gym, saw a random guy with lots of swastikas, white supremacy tattoos and one less leg on his body than usual. I ask him where his leg is and he said it’s in Ukraine.

Apparently he was a foreign fighter there. He said the salary was good and that he is still getting payed, even though he is back home. No obligation to pay tax for it here either.

Since he was a fundamentalist, I let him know I am a fundamentalist too and of what kind, for the sake of teasing him. Even though we hated each other, we could acknowledge the firm stances each had. And funnily enough he was more understanding of our views than liberal Muslims))
He told me it is actually illegal by law to participate in a war under a separate militant group. It has to be under an official banner like that of a country. Otherwise you can be prosecuted as a war criminal, terro and so on. But this guy was part of a faction himself.

Which only tells us that if you participate in the white mans war wether it’s Ukraine, Israel or an army invading Muslims in general, it is totally okay. Foreign fighters to Ukraine and Israel are moving back and forth no big deal.

﴾what We have provided for them﴿. This indicates that this wealth that you possess was not obtained by your strength and efforts; rather it is provision that Allah has bestowed upon you and blessed you with. Therefore, as He has blessed you and favoured you above many of His slaves, you should show gratitude to Him by giving some o f that with which He has blessed you, thus helping (literally, consoling) your brothers who are destitute.
Allah often mentions prayer and zakah together in the Qur’an, because prayer is a reflection of sincerity towards Allah, and zakah and spending are a reflection of kindness towards His slaves. The sign o f a person’s being blessed (destined for paradise) is his sincerity towards Allah and his striving to help and benefit people, just as the sign o f a person’s being doomed (destined for hell) is that he does not have these two characteristics, sincerity and kindness.
