The Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office, together with law enforcement officers from France and Monaco, have detained the son of former Motor Sich president Vyacheslav Boguslaev, Oleksandr, who, together with his father, is involved in a case of embezzlement of the company's assets
According to the case materials, the detainee helped his father, before the start of the full-scale war, to appropriate a controlling stake in the state-owned enterprise and sell it to third parties for $650 million. For this scheme, Vyacheslav Boguslaev organized an inventory of the company's assets and artificially understated the value of its shares. Then he purchased 65% of the securities and transferred most of them to offshore structures owned by his son. To legalize the stolen assets, the criminals sold them to foreign companies, and used the profits to purchase luxury real estate in the EU.
Searches were conducted at the detainee's residence in a villa in Monaco and in the homes of affiliated individuals in Zaporizhia. The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. Also, a new suspicion was received by the ex-head of Motor Sich, who is currently in custody on charges of collaborating with the russian federation

This day is the 8th anniversary of the Battle of Odessa on May 2, 2014. In parallel with the early hostilities in the Donbas, mass riots took place in the rear, which were provoked by left-wing pro-Russian forces. The most intense confrontations were in Odessa. Thousands of pro-Russian activists called for violations of Ukraine's territorial integrity and the secession of Odessa, promoted hatred of Ukraine, destroyed national symbols and attacked anyone they disliked.
The culmination of the confrontation was the events of May 2. Three hundred pro-russians attacked a column of pro-Ukrainian demonstrators in central Odessa and used firearms against them. The first victims of the day were patriot Andriy Biryukov and member of the Right Sector Igor Ivanov. Soon the pro-Ukrainians prevailed and the separatists retreated, losing 4 killed. The confrontation spread to Kulikove Pole Square, where patriots destroyed a separatist tent camp and laid siege to the Trade Union House. The separatists were opened fire from the house. In response Molotov cocktails were thrown at them. This led to a fire that killed another 42 separatists from burns, suffocation and falls from a height. Even in this situation, pro-Ukrainians tried to save from death as many of their enemies as possible.
Official and independent investigations have revealed that the events of May 2 were a provocation by Russian intelligence. This is also evidenced by the actual inaction of the police throughout the day and the fact that part of their commandment fled to Russia. Russian citizens, who provoked the massacre and left their people to die, also escaped responsibility. Russian propaganda lied about the facts and described the event as a "massacre of innocent people committed by the Ukrainian nazis."
Nevertheless, on May 2, 2014, Odesa was saved for next years from the war and the horror that came to Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Many russian fans in Odessa, especially after the wave of arrests, have long lost their courage outside the Internet. But in 2022, the russians are killing residents of Odessa with their ballistic missiles, and the city itself is constantly waiting for the enemy's naval landing. Neither then nor now won't Odesa surrender to the enemy, and the russians and their henchmen will find only death here. Glory to Ukraine!
