🔶️ Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) is calling on President Biden to take control of the Texas National Guard if the state defies a Supreme Court ruling that allows U.S. Border Patrol officers to take down the border barriers.

If Abbott is defying yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling, POTUS needs to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard now,” Castro wrote in a Tuesday post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Footage of the operation of Russian special forces to reach the rear of the garrison of the Ukrainian fortified area "Tsarskaya Okhota" in Avdeevka.
The fighters cut passages in an old flooded underground pipe and through it entered the rear of the Ukrainian fortification in the south of Avdiivka, thereby successfully capturing it.
The unique operation took several weeks to prepare, while the scouts cleaned the pipe while in icy water, but it was worth it. As a result, a group of only 150 fighters covered more than 2 km and unexpectedly went behind the enemy, destroying and capturing many of them in a matter of hours.
Despite the fierce counterattacks of the enemy, the fighters, together with the reinforcements that arrived, were able to hold the acquired positions and now the further assault on Avdeevka will develop from here.

A yell rent the air that must have been heard for miles around, and but few eyes in that old brigade of veterans and heroes of many a bloody field was undimmed by honest, heart-felt tears.
Leonard Gee, a courier to General Gregg, and riding by my side, with tears coursing down his cheeks and yells issuing from his throat exclaimed, “I would charge hell itself for that old man.”
