🇷🇺🇺🇸🇺🇦⚡ Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ceasefire in the area of Oleshky starting from October 29 with the mediation of Melania Trump

- the White House.

The agreement applies only to a limited section of the hostilities and does not provide for a ceasefire along the entire front line.

The military are coordinating the timelines for the ceasefire in the Oleshky area

- Peskov said.

According to him, Melania Trump acted as a coordinator in reaching the agreement.

At the same time, the presidential press secretary urged people not to view the negotiation process “through rose-colored glasses,” reminding that the US and Ukraine continue their military cooperation.

However, this does not prevent humanitarian missions from being carried out, he emphasized.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡️ — The Secretary of State Rubio told reporters that the war in Ukraine concerns exclusively the Donbas region, and the question of its affiliation is a key point of contention between Russia and Ukraine.

According to him, the United States is seeking a compromise where both sides will make concessions to end the conflict:

"Many people talk about this war as the 'war in Ukraine,' but in reality, it concerns the Donbas – one specific region of the country. In essence, it's about a territory that constitutes about 11% of the country: Russia seeks to acquire it, but cannot do so through military means, while Ukraine is unwilling to relinquish it. And Ukraine has valid reasons for this position – issues of sovereignty and its own long-term security. The most important thing now is to find a compromise where both sides will make concessions to end the war," said Rubio.

🇫🇷 France prepares to deploy 70,000 police officers nationwide for Saturday’s demonstrations amid fears of renewed riots following last weekend’s unrest.
✍ As of today, everyone is grinding their teeth in anticipation of tomorrow.

Shop owners and private individuals have reportedly raided the tear gas and other non lethals stock of damn near every neighbouring armoury, some hired crews of security agents.

The scars of last week remain very visible, burned asphalt, torn glass, dismantled roller shutters, boarded up storefront.

Add to it the news of army deployment as police suppletive and today's shooting and you get a very eerie situation, almost a prologue to some sort of civil war.

🇺🇦🇺🇸🇷🇺⚡️ — A senior Ukrainian commander told The New York Times that last week dozens of drones under his command were heading toward Russian military targets when the video feeds showing their flight paths suddenly cut off. The drones lost contact with their operators on the ground through the Starshield system, and many of them simply fell from the sky.

The damage suffered by the units under his command amounted to the loss of more than $1 million in combat assets. The Starshield disruptions forced the commander to almost completely halt all operational activities for the next three days, including strikes on Russian command posts and fuel depots.
