Moreover, one of them is a veteran with extensive experience - the deputy commander of the 39th tactical aviation brigade (flying the Su-27), Major Stanislav Romanenko (originally from near Chernigov), according to the Ukrainian side, died in the last days of December (ours reported on 12/24/23 about three downed Su-27). He was awarded twice before in 2022 (order and medal). He was buried today in Zhitomir.
The second, still very young, 23-year-old Vladislav Zalistovsky, is a MiG-29 pilot of the 114th tactical aviation brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force. It is unclear exactly when he died. There are our reports about the downing of a MiG-29 at the end of December, and there is the same message in the first days of this year.
But be that as it may, those who in Ukraine laugh that the Russians are making up everything about the downed Ukrainian fighters are put to shame today. Moreover, it is very likely that they were shot down precisely as a result of the use of our new tactics - “hunting for live bait”, when pilots of the Ukrainian Air Force, hunting for our “geraniums” (in order to save scarce Western-made air defense missiles), become trophies of our fighters aimed at using A-50U AWACS aircraft.
