So what does this all mean?

Essentially, the U.S. (and by extension the G7 at large) have or are about to hit the point where their fiscal situation is behind their control. To fight inflation would require them to collapse their economy in a repeat of 2008 because a decade of low interest rates created too many distortions that can’t be fixed easily…or they’re going to have to let inflation be in the double digits on a sustained basis by mass money printing.

Neither are good for long term political stability.
