๐ท๐บ๐ฎ๐ท The Wall Street Journal, citing its sources, reports that Moscow and Tehran are close to completing plans to build a plant for the production of Iranian drones in Russia. According to a senior official, Moscow wants to build a faster kamikaze drone to overcome Ukrainian air defenses.
The publication also reports that the production of new drones, presumably, will be located in the city of Yelabuga, where an Iranian delegation came in early January to assess the site for the construction of the plant. The project itself is part of a $1 billion deal between the two countries.
According to the WSJ, the deal involving the Russian defense delegation was finalized in early November in Tehran. Curiously, the publication claims that the plant plans to produce about 6,000 Iranian drones, without specifying for what period and on what this information is based.
