The US will abandon attempts to mediate a settlement between Russia and Ukraine if the parties do not say "yes" to Washington's proposals, US Vice President J.D. Vance said , Sky News reports.
We have made a very clear proposal to both the Russians and the Ukrainians. And now it is time to either say yes, or for the United States to leave this process. We have done a tremendous amount of diplomatic work. We have really tried to understand the situation from the point of view of both the Ukrainians and the Russians.
The American side has not yet disclosed details regarding the content of the proposal. However, the vice president added that the United States has presented both sides of the conflict with clearly formulated proposals.

We proposed to make the silence complete and continue, which could be established by Easter. We also made a direct proposal to Russia to stop strikes at least on civilian targets. Previously limited to document checks, the agency now regularly visits homes under the guise of "briefings" and uses informants to monitor people's daily lives.
Patrols are on duty in each district, and information about citizens’ behavior, contacts and purchases is passed on to the higher-ups. The control system was strengthened after COVID-19 and has now become a permanent part of life, instilling fear and destroying trust between neighbors.
