KCK on the 9th anniversary of Mam Jalal Talabani’s death:

“Mam Jalal left his mark on more than 50 years of the Kurdish and Kurdistan freedom struggle.”

“His friendship with Mamoste Ibrahim Ahmed and Leader Apo became an important effort for Kurdish national unity and contributed to the establishment of the KNK (Kurdistan National Congress).”

“Whenever needed, he supported the armed struggle in other parts of Kurdistan and took the lead in seeking solutions and peace through politics and diplomacy.”

The Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) issued a statement regarding the events in Al-Hasakah:

- The right to peaceful expression is legitimate and guaranteed for all; however, defending one's rights cannot be achieved by insulting the identities of other components or attempting to exclude them.

- We warn against attempts by certain domestic and regional factions to exploit the situation, stoke (Kurdish-Arab) tensions, and sabotage the project of building a new Syria.

- We call upon the relevant parties to launch an immediate investigation, hold accountable anyone who has committed crimes against the Kurdish people, and prevent Al-Hasakah from being turned into a conflict zone.

‎The criminal Iranian regime executed a Kurdish prisoner from Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) at Urmia Central Prison in the early hours of Saturday, October 3, 2026. The executed prisoner was identified as Mustafa Sharifi, from the village of Tawan in Piranshahr County.
