Torrent link for beta v3?
Is there a torrent link for beta v3? Since there is no way of checking the ISO file for its checksum, a torrent file to verify file integrity would be nice. Thanks and keep up the good work! I really hope instantOS would be a sucess in the future. :)

Some questions before I take the leap
Hi, all. So I am interested in this distro after watching all the stuff with DistroTube unfold. InstantOS is running quite well in my VM, and I've played around with it enough that I think I might be ready to do a bare metal install. But there are a few things I would like to know before I take that plunge.First off, does InstantWM play well with HiDPI monitors? I mean in terms of scaling and such. The VM always resets to a 1920x1080 resolution whenever I boot it up, so I don't know how it deals with a 4K monitor, for example.Secondly, is Bluetooth working properly in the current build? This is not essential for my use case, but it is definitely a nice-to-have.Finally, what is general stability like on bare metal installs? It seems relatively good in my VM, but that does not necessarily translate to an actual install.Apart from those things, I believe I can figure out most of my issues as they pop up, by looking to the Arch Wiki and the InstantOS documentation.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

InstantOS looking promising...
Been reading up on this over the holiday weekend. Looks great. Is there a away to install this over an existing Arch install? Specifically, I have an Arch install, running ZFS on root. I also use systemd-boot and I run a pacman hook to catch kernel updates and create snapshots to provide a fallback in case a fresh kernel causes issues.I do see the instantwm in AUR. What else would be needed to get instantwm running on an existing arch install?

Two Questions... re: manjaro & MX
I guess this is for the dev (team?).Have you considered making InstantOS into a manjaro community edition?I use and like MXLinux- I know that excites everyone. Anyway, has anyone tried installing InstantOSwm on Debian (ie. MX)?

grub-instantos
I am trying to get a clean instantOS install on my manjaro gear. I am currently having trouble installing: xdragon rangerplugins sideload irox grub-instantosI used yay... no yay for any of those. So I tried to use yay with the instantOS meta package. It is missing a dependency grub-instantos.FWIW...

Quick question regarding updating the OS
I've been using InstantOS beta 3 on my Desktop and am rather pleased with it. I was considering installing the same on my laptop too. But first I have a question. When Beta 4 or v1.0 comes around, will I have to reinstall the distro from a new ISO, or will I be able to update via pacman or yay or some other package manager.Sorry if the answer is obvious, I don't really understand how all this works.

Terminal crashing
I just got instantOS running and everything seems to be working except the terminal. Every time I open a terminal window it shows a blank box and then closes immediately. Totally new to this so apologies if this is the dumbest thing you've ever read. Is there another terminal shell I can use to maybe update something? Or is a reinstall my best bet?

Best Arch-based Distro I have ever used.
Extremely impressed! This is the best Arch-based distro I have ever attempted to use and I love it. I actually installed it and I am using it for my daily system. Great job!

Installing without reformating /home partition?
I currently have Manjaro Linux installed, and I am thinking about switching to InstantOS.I currently have the following partition scheme: sda1 / sda2 /home sda3 [swap] Would it be possible to install InstantOS without repartitioning? I would like to install InstantOS on sda1 while keeping sda2 for /home and sda3 for swap. Also, unrelated question, InstantOS is no longer based on Manjaro, right?

A great distro, which I plan to use for years.
Here is my experience, for 15 years I have used various linux distros, looking above all for comfort, robustness, and that things work the way I want them.I have gone through different distributions beyond the most used (debian, arch, suse, fedora, etc) I was always browsing distrowatch looking for something that surprised me, but I have always felt that something was missing.I never felt comfortable with desktop environments and window managers (I have tried almost the vast majority) for various reasons that can only be summarized as they were not to my liking, or that to do so I had to dedicate dozens of hours to customize them .But it wasn't until I saw the distrotube apology video that I found out about InstantOS. And as always, I ventured out, downloaded it and tried it on a virtual machine, and from the first hour I knew it was the distro I was looking for.The aesthetics, minimalism and simplicity of the installation caught me. The level of practicality to use it convinced me, and after only one hour of use I decided to make it my main operating system. Instantwm would become my preferred window managerAnd here I am, it has been almost a month of use, and in its customization I have not spent more time than necessary to change the wallpaper, the problems have been few and almost imperceptible, I work on three screens without problems and above all the stability has been as solid as a mountain.I am a Spanish speaker, I am using google translate, and I am from Peru. But despite the language barriers, I write this to thank the creator. Thank you very much for finishing my search for a good operating system and an excellent window manager.https://preview.redd.it/65siyi3du8g51.png?width=1434&format=png&auto=webp&s=f2e316128c00c02237ce9b05f14b62ac2f1a4f28

Install issues on MacBook Pro
I'm REALLY liking this in VirtualBox, but unfortunately I can't get it to install on my 2015 MacBook Pro. The Live image doesn't want to start and the CLI installer runs fine but it refuses to boot the OS after install (grey flashing folder icon on startup, which means it doesn't see it as a bootable system). I tried setting up partitions myself as I noticed UEFI errors during install, but although the errors disappeared, it still didn't want to boot after install.Any ideas?I'm currently running Manjaro with the 5.4 kernel, so system-wise, InstantOS shouldn't be far off at all. I used Etcher to create the bootable USB.

Question: Sandboxing with xephyr, xpra (or usage of dwl)
Dear paper benni, thanks for the great work so far. The OS is nearly exactly what I was looking for after testing 15+ distro-DE combinations. So far the only thing I am missing is Wayland or some usable way for sandboxing my keyboard and screen. Thus I would like to have your opinion/experience on sandboxing keyboard and screen input on x11 with xephyr and slightly related some planning of the project.Using firejail with xephyr results in non-usable clipboard, for where exists a slightly cumbersome workaround and this. Do you plan to add some easification to this at a later state for sandboxing xorg? How high in time cost or useful would you consider a (later) switching to dwl?
