🛡 Protect your Instagram account:

▶️ Pick a strong password: use a combination of at least six letters, numbers, and punctuation marks. Don’t use the same password for other accounts or share it with anyone.

▶️ Turn on two-factor authentication: this adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code to log in from an unknown device. You can use an authentication app or a text message to receive the code.

▶️ Make sure your email account is secure: use a different password for your email account and check your security settings regularly. Your email account is linked to your Instagram account and can be used to reset your password.

▶️ Revoke access to suspicious third-party apps: some apps may ask for permission to access your Instagram account, but they may not be trustworthy or secure. To revoke access, go to Settings > Security > Apps and Websites.

Instagram Reels are short videos, usually between 15 and 90 seconds, that can be edited with music, effects, and text. They are ideal for creating engaging and original content, often inspired by trends, challenges, or tutorials. Reels have their own section in the Explore page, which means they can reach a wider and more diverse audience than Stories. Reels are also permanent, unless you delete them, and can be found on your profile and the Reels tab.

Instagram Stories are ephemeral updates that disappear after 24 hours. They are perfect for sharing casual, real-time, and behind-the-scenes content, such as status updates, polls, questions, or announcements. Stories are only visible to your followers, or to the public if your account is public, which means they are more intimate and personal than Reels. Stories can also be saved to your Highlights, which are collections of Stories that appear on your profile.
