Instagram’s been labeling some of its content controls with the familiar “PG-13” tag… but the Motion Picture Association (the folks who actually own that rating system) is not amused.

🎬The MPA has sent Meta a cease-and-desist letter saying: Stop using our rating labels, it’s misleading. Their argument is that movie ratings are decided by human review panels, while Instagram’s age filters are automated — so calling them “PG-13” makes it seem officially certified when it’s not.

📌 Meta says it didn’t mean to imply it was an official film rating, but hasn’t said whether it’ll change the feature.

So yeah… Hollywood just told Instagram to stay in its lane.
