When a HIGH SCORE machine fires, the whole pot opens a round. The House runs the round; the House does not pick the winners. Nobody does — a VRF does.
VRF stands for verifiable random function. On this floor it is Chainlink's, on Base. The machine asks the chain for one random number, and the number comes back with a cryptographic proof that nobody chose it — not us, not a validator, not a bot. Anyone can check the proof on-chain.
One number does two jobs: it spins the reel that decides HOW MANY winners the round pays (1 to 10, like a slot line), and it picks WHO from the tickets in the snapshot. A draw is rolled once and never re-run — a second request would be visible on-chain forever.
