የሕይወት ትርጉም ማጣት Existential Vacuum ሀብታም ወይም ደሃ፣ ስኬታማ ሳይል ማንኛውንም ሰው ሊያጠቃ ይችላል።

_መሰረታዊ ፍላጎቱን ያላሟላ ሰው The Struggle for Survival _ይህ ሰው ትርጉም የሚያጣው "በተስፋ መቁረጥ" ምክንያት ነው። በየቀኑ ለምግብ፣ ለቤት እና ለህልውና በሚደረግ ትግል ውስጥ ሲቆይ "የሰው ልጅ መኖር ትርጉሙ ይሄው ነው? መከራ ብቻ?" የሚል ጥያቄ ይፈጠርበታል። ህልሙን ማሳካት አለመቻሉ ዋጋ እንደሌለው እንዲሰማው ያደርገዋል። ነገ የተሻለ ይሆናል" የሚል ተስፋ ሲጠፋ፣ ህይወት እንደ ከባድ ሸክም ትታያለች።

_ስኬታማ እና ሀብታም የሚባለው ሰው The Paradox of Success ይህ ሰው ትርጉም የሚያጣው "በመሰላቸት እና ግብ በማጣት" ምክንያት ነው። የፈለገውን ነገር ሁሉ ማግኘት ሲችል፣ "ከዚህ በኋላስ ምን ይቀራል?" የሚል ባዶነት ይመጣል። ቁሳዊ ነገሮች ደስታ የሚሰጡት ለተወሰነ ጊዜ ብቻ ነው። ሁሉም ነገር ሲሟላ፣ አእምሮ የሚጠይቀው ጥልቅ "መንፈሳዊ" ወይም "ፍልስፍናዊ" ትርጉም በገንዘብ ሊገዛ አይችልም።

_ቪክቶር ፍራንክል እንደሚለው፣ ብዙ ሀብታሞች በ "Existential Boredom" የህልውና መሰላቸት ይሰቃያሉ። የሚታገሉለት አዲስ ነገር ሲያጡ ህይወት ጣዕሟን ታጣለች።

ሄዶኒክ ትሬድሚል" The Hedonic Treadmill ስነ-ልቦናዊ ጽንሰ-ሀሳብ _ሰው አዲስ ስኬት ወይም ሀብት ሲያገኝ ደስ ይለዋል፤ ነገር ግን ብዙም ሳይቆይ አእምሮው ከዚያ ሁኔታ ጋር ይላመዳል። ከዚያም የበለጠ ደስታ ለማግኘት "ተጨማሪ" ይፈልጋል። ይህ ማለቂያ የሌለው ሩጫ ሰውን ያደክመዋል።

ቪክቶር ፍራንክል Man’s Search for Meaning በሚለው መጽሐፉ እንዲህ ይላል_የሰው ልጅ ዋነኛ ተነሳሽነት ደስታን መፈለግ ሳይሆን ትርጉምን መፈለግ ነው"።

ትርጉም የሚገኘው በሦስት መንገዶች ነውይለናል!

_በስራ Achievement_ለራስ ብቻ ሳይሆን ለሌላው የሚተርፍ ስራ መስራት።

_በትስስር Connection_ሰውን መውደድ እና መወደድ።
_በመከራ Attitude towards Suffering_መቀየር።

-በማንችለው መከራ ውስጥ የምናሳየው ጽናት።

ሀብታሙም "ከራሱ በላይ ለሆነ ዓላማ" መኖር ሲያቆም፣ ደሃውም "የተሻለ ቀን ይመጣል" ብሎ ማመኑን ሲተው ህይወት ትርጉም ታጣለች። ትርጉም የሚመጣው ካለን ሀብት ሳይሆን፣ ለህይወት ከምንሰጠው ምላሽ ነው።

አንድ ሰው በህይወቱ ያለው ትርጉም ሲጠፋበትና "ባዶነት" ሲሰማው፣ ያንን ባዶነት ለመሙላት ማንኛውንም -ጥሩም ይሁን መጥፎ አነቃቂ ነገር ይፈልጋል።

ከመጠን በላይ ሀብትም ሆነ ከፍተኛ ድህነት፣ ለስነ-ምግባርና ለሰብአዊነት ትልቅ "ፈተናዎች" ናቸው።

ሁለቱም በውስጣችን ተኝቶ ያለውን "የክፋት እሳት" አመዱን ቆስቁሰው እንዲቀጣጠል የሚያደርጉበት መንገድ አላቸው።

ድህነት የሰውን ልጅ ወደ እንስሳዊ የመኖር ተጋድሎ Survival Instinct ያወርደዋል። አንድ ሰው ለራሱ ወይም ለልጆቹ የሚበላው ሲያጣ፣ "ስነ-ምግባር" እንደ ቅንጦት ይታየዋል። ድህነት በውስጥ ያለውን የክፋት እሳት በተስፋ መቁረጥ አማካኝነት ይቆሰቁሰዋል። ሰውዬው ህልውናውን ለማቆየት ሲል ብቻ ሌላውን ለመጉዳት ወይም ህግ ለመጣስ ይገደዳል።

ሀብት ደግሞ የሰውን ልጅ ወደ "አምላክነት" ስሜት God Complex ከፍ ያደርገዋል። ብዙ ገንዘብ ሲኖር "ለኔ የማይቻል ነገር የለም" እና "ማንም ሊጠይቀኝ አይችልም" የሚል ስሜት ይፈጠራል። ሀብት ትዕቢትንና መናቅን ይወልዳል። ሌሎች ሰዎች እንደ ሰው ሳይሆን እንደ "መገልገያ ቁሳቁስ" ይታያሉ።_ሀብት በውስጥ ያለውን የክፋት እሳት Impunity አማካኝነት ይቆሰቁሰዋል _ሰውዬው አሰልቺ የሆነውን የሀብታም ህይወቱን ለማድመቅ ሲል ብቻ ሌሎችን የሚያሰቃዩ ወይም ስነ-ምግባር የሌላቸውን ድርጊቶች በድፍረት ይፈፅማል።

ብዙ የጥንት ፈላስፋዎች እንደ አርስቶትል ያሉ "መካከለኛው መንገድ" The Middle Path ለስነ-ምግባር ተመራጭ ነው ይላሉ። ከመጠን በላይ እጥረት ለሌብነትና ለነውር ይገፋፋል፤ ከመጠን በላይ ትርፍ ደግሞ ለትዕቢትና ለግፍ ይዳርጋል።

ሁለቱም ጫፎች ሀብትና ድህነት የሚያመሳስላቸው አንድ ነገር አለ_"የግል ምቾትና ፍላጎትን ከሰብአዊነት በላይ ማድረግ"። ድሃው በችግር ብዛት ሰብአዊነትን ይረሳል፤ ሀብታሙ በጥጋብ ብዛት ሰብአዊነትን ይንቃል።

"ድህነት ሰውን ሌባ ሊያደርገው ይችላል፣ ሀብት ግን ሰውን አውሬ ሊያደርገው ይችላል።"

ሰው በተፈጥሮው ትርጉም የሚሰጠው ነገር ይፈልጋል። ያ ካልተሳካለት ግን "መሰማትን" Sensation ይፈልጋል።

ለሀብታሙ/ለስኬታማው_ሁሉም ነገር ስላለው ተራው ደስታ ሰልችቶታል። አሁን ትርጉም የሚያገኘው "በጥሳቱ" Transgression ውስጥ ነው። ህግን መጣስ፣ በሌሎች ላይ ስቃይ ማድረስ ወይም ከሰውነት ተራ የወጡ ድርጊቶችን መፈፀም "እኔ ልዩ ነኝ" ወይም "ከሁሉ በላይ ነኝ" የሚል የተዛባ የትርጉም ስሜት ይሰጠዋል። ይህ ጭካኔ ለሱ "መሰላቸትን መከላከያ" Boredom killer ነው።

ለድሃው/ተስፋ ለቆረጠው_ህይወት ምንም ትርጉም ካልሰጠችውና ማህበረሰቡ እንደ ሰው ካልቆጠረው፣ እሱም ለባህልና ለስነ-ምግባር ያለው ክብር ይጠፋል። "ማህበረሰቡ ካልራራልኝ እኔ ለምን እራራለሁ?" በሚል ስሜት ጭካኔን እንደ "አጸፋ" Revenge ይወስደዋል። በጭካኔው ውስጥ "ኃይል" እንዳለው ይሰማዋል።

በሁለቱም ሁኔታዎች ውጤቱ እርቃንነት እንስሳዊ ባህሪ ነው። ሰው ሰራሽ የሆኑት የርህራሄና የሞራል ህጎች ሲቀደዱ፣ በውስጥ ያለው አውሬነት ብቅ ይላል።

ፈላስፋው ፍሬድሪክ ኒቼ "Nihilism" የእሴቶች አልባነት_ሲመጣ ሰው ወደ ምን ሊቀየር እንደሚችል አስቀድሞ አስፈሪ ማስጠንቀቂያ ሰጥቶ ነበር። የሰው ልጅ ምንም የሚያምነው ትልቅ ዓላማ ከሌለው፣ የራሱን ደስታ ለማርካት ሲል ብቻ ለሌሎች ስቃይ ግድ የማይሰጠው "የመጨረሻው ሰው" The Last Man ይሆናል።

ባጭሩ_አንድ ሰው ሀብታምም ይሁን ድሃ፣ በውስጡ "ህሊና" Conscience የተባለውን ኮምፓስ ካጣ፣ በህይወቱ ያለው ትርጉም በቁሳዊ ነገር ወይም በስሜት ላይ ብቻ የተመሰረተ ከሆነ፣ ወደ እንስሳዊ ጭካኔ የመውረድ እድሉ እኩል ነው። ጭካኔው ለሁለቱም "ባዶነትን መሸፈኛ" ጭንብል ነው።

ሀብትም ሆነ ድህነት "ክፉ" አይደሉም። ነገር ግን በውስጣችን ያለውን ድብቅ ማንነት አውጥተው የሚያሳዩ "መስታወቶች" ናቸው። ሀብትም ሆነ ድህነት የክፋት _አመዱን ሲቆሰቁሱት፣ እሳቱ እንዲፋፋም መፍቀድ ወይም ማጥፋት የሰውየው የውስጥ ጥንካሬና የህሊና ጉዳይ ነው።

ይህ የሚያሳየን የሰው ልጅ ትልቁ ሀብት ገንዘቡ ሳይሆን፣ በየትኛውም ሁኔታ ውስጥ ቢሆን ሰብአዊነቱን ጠብቆ የሚያቆይበት "ውስጣዊ ስነ-ምግባሩ" መሆኑን ነው።
