β€‹β€‹πŸš«Why investors PASS on investing in some startups?

We always ask VCs why did they say NO, and here are the top red flags 🚩and rejection reasons:

1️⃣ Weak team
Not enough experience in the sector; main needs not covered by the core team; first-time startup founders; building tech project without tech co-founder; etc.

2️⃣ Poor economy / business model
There is no clarity around how this startup will make money and what is the business model;

For tokenized projects: no obvious token utility and value, no strong token economy behind the project, no clarity as to how and why the token buying pressure will be generated, etc.

3️⃣ No Traction
Good entrepreneurs are capable of generating traction even in the early stages and even without money. Start building the product, attract motivated talents, build an engaged community, establish value-added partnerships, etc. If nothing is done without money - why should the investor take all the risks?

4️⃣ Bad pitch
Founders not able to explain what they are building, why and how in a simple and attractive way. Especially true for geeks who speak tech slang mostly. Don’t expect investors to spend hours trying to understand what is your project about: if it’s not clear in the first few minutes - it’s usually a pass.

5️⃣ Bad early cap-table
Don’t take early money from just anyone! An investor a with bad reputation can scare off good VCs in the next funding rounds and create unnecessary troubles for your future fundraising.

Keep this in mind when you start fundraising for your startup! And share this post with your co-founders to keep aligned on fundraising priniples πŸ˜‰

It enables dapp developers to efficiently deliver real-world validated data to Web3 applications, such as price feeds, random number generation, or dynamic NFTs. ODIN aims to be the primary protocol within Cosmos and IBC to connect blockchain applications with real-world data.

Developing such systems in a decentralized way with digital asset user rewards is a significant task, requiring specific knowledge in the DLT sphere and executable by companies willing to apply a data reward model.

🌟How to identify a GREAT crypto startup ⁉️

We always show our audience and investors great startups and for that we are appreciated.

How do we define who is great? πŸ” Here are a few key factors that help you understand InnMind's expertise:

βœ… Startups that have good knowledge about competitors in their niche. It also helps startups identify areas that should be developed to make a startup the leader of the niche.
βœ… A crypto startup must have team members well versed in distributed ledgers systems: how they work, how they can be further optimized, and how they can be designed to fit specific market needs.
βœ… Cryptocurrencies deal with financial value at a fundamental level. It is therefore critical that a crypto startup must incorporate personnel intimately familiar with financial systems and can analyze financial markets technically and fundamentally and translate their analysis into programmable goals within the startup.
βœ… And again about the team. Each way of raising funds (VCs or ICOs) requires people skills. A good crypto startup needs a human relations department or internal skillset to manage such negotiations and legal expertise to craft protocols for conflict resolution, and eliminate any ambiguities in the startup’s communications.
βœ… A good crypto startup should keep at the frontier of innovations. The crypto field is highly competitive, so those startups will survive that can quickly revise its work structure to fit in with new ideas or demands by the market, quickly crafting products and having them in the market as soon as the demand is recognized.
βœ… Data from major crypto outfits such as KuCoin show that up to 80% of their revenues come through their presence on mobile apps. It is hence essential to have a presence in that mobile ecosystem. The mobile apps need to be user-friendly: intuitive, easy to use, and highly interactive.
βœ… As a nascent market, the crypto field still has a lot of unknowns. These unknowns manifest in the market in the form of wild fluctuations in market prices. Market crashes of over 50% of the price are common, and they can sometimes happen seemingly overnight. A good startup hence should craft its business structure around a high-risk, high-reward notion.
βœ… Finally, a good startup should have a very good customer support. In a field where there are probably lots of competitors offering the same product or service, better customer service might be the one edge that puts a small startup ahead of its bigger, more bureaucratic competitors.
Keep in mind this when you create a crypto startup to make it great 😊

Do you agree with this?
