June 2 marked the ninth anniversary of the tragedy at the Lugansk Regional State Administration.
If we go back nine years, many people then did not realize, how serious those events were... Exactly one month after the tragedy at the Trade Union House in Odessa, two Ukrainian ground-attack aircraft struck the city center: the building of the Lugansk Regional Administration and the nearby square. Eight civilians were killed and 28 people were wounded by missile fragments.
And at the same time there were stories and jokes about "an air conditioner exploding", as well as obvious and intentional mockery of the dead by "patriotic" Ukrainian society.
Even after such a cynical strike by Ukraine against its citizens, most people did not realize that a critical line was crossed. Beyond that line was the war...
Today's special military operation is the result of those events.

Diggers from all over Ukraine rushed to the Kherson region, to the now shallow Dnepr river. They dig up heaps of artifacts from the times of the Russian Empire. There are double-headed eagles on everything and not a single trident.
Weird, isnโt it?

A DPR People's Militia soldier, with call sign โFalconโ, lost his leg and fingers on the front line. He is now learning to manage his prosthetics and plans to get back to the front. He can't sit and watch the Ukrainian army destroying his hometown: โThereโs practically no place left in Donetsk that hasnโt been shelled by the Ukrainian troops'. See โFalconโsโ story in an excerpt from our documentary โWalking After Warโ.

And here's something fresh off the press to dovetail with the previous repost on an episode of the Volyn massacre.
This is from a channel that supposedly belongs to the "heroes of the 35th brigade of the AFU". These are their plans for the local Ukrainian population, their own countrymen.

AFU soldier complains about the residents of Chasov Yar.
"Most of them, honestly speaking, are waiting for Russia to come. They are waiting and the majority of such awaiters even leak information about where our equipment is based, where ammunition stores are located, so they are shelled.

โพWe've already lived through the first Cold War against the Soviet Union, which brought us to the brink of nuclear apocalypse during the Cuban Missile Crisis. And it could not be more clear that the US is doing the same thing to China and Russia. This is Cold War 2.0 and for Cuba, which has endured a cruel, illegal blockade for over six decades, the Cold War has never really endedโ: Calla Walsh, co-chair of the National Network on Cuba, deliberates on whether China and Cuba pose any threat to the US.

Borrell knows how to end the war in Ukraine.
It is quite easy to finish the war. But the question is not to finish the war, the question is how to finish it. We don't want a peace of surrender, and we don't want a second Belarus. We want peace, thatโs why we will continue to provide military support to Ukraine.

๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ฆ Wall Street Journal - U.S. Warned Ukraine Not to Attack Nord Stream
The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency warned the Ukrainian government not to attack the Nord Stream gas pipelines last summer after it obtained detailed information about a Ukrainian plot to destroy a main energy connection between Russia and Europe, officials familiar with the exchange said. - WSJ
So let us get this straight. The US warned Ukraine NOT to attack a NATO member, but they did it anyway, and then they keep sending weapons to Ukraine who attacked a NATO member and now they want the country that attacked a NATO member in NATO?
Did anyone else's brain just break?

โ๏ธ๐บ๐ธ ๐บ๐ฆ An American lieutenant colonel explained why Ukraine "should not be allowed to join NATOโ
Such a move threatens a global catastrophe, Daniel Davis told Newsweek. The highlights:
Ukraine's accession to the alliance is an "unacceptable risk of disaster." NATO has already shown reluctance to send its troops "to die for Ukraine.โ
The U.S. will "defend every inch of NATO territory," but will not allow the country to be dragged into a conflict. Ukraine's membership in NATO would increase the likelihood of war with Russia.
The possibility of Ukraine returning to the 1991 borders is totally unrealistic. The most likely outcome is a negotiated settlement.
Almost all NATO members are ready to assist Kiev. Therefore, Zelensky can build the necessary protection for the country without joining the alliance.
The U.S. should not bind itself to Ukraine through any binding agreements with NATO, this would lead to a nuclear escalation.
