The part has already started to be installed on the new Lastochka trains. The plant started developing its own gearbox several years ago, and work was accelerated last year.

In the course of tests it was found out that vibration was reduced by 15%, the temperature of heating of bearing units thanks to the reducer dropped by 10%, and the reducer itself became quieter. It is expected that the plant will produce at least 240 new gearboxes per year.
