How to distinguish stars and planets in the night sky?

To answer this question, you need to determine whether an object is flickering or shining with a steady light. If it flickers, it's a star; if it doesn't, it's a planet.

The reason stars flicker is the Earth's atmosphere. It constantly moves: cold air goes down, warm air goes up, and its density at different heights is heterogeneous. Therefore, as it passes through the Earth's atmosphere, starlight is repeatedly scattered and refracted.

The planets do not flicker because they are much closer to us. Our eye recognizes them as luminous disks. We see their light as smooth and static.

NASA had to change the labeling of the penis sleeve for urinating in spacesuits from "small", "medium" and "large" to "large", "giant" and "huge", because astronauts chose only large ones, and they slipped off.
