NASA, together with the University of California at Technology, is developing a drone that can unfold in a matter of seconds during flight.

In the first phase of flight, the presented samples are simply shot into the air in the same way as projectiles fired from a cannon. During takeoff, the stabilizers with propellers are opened providing further movement of the drone.
