These are not dragons, although you could be forgiven for mistaking them for one, they are a type of African bush viper (Atheris squamigera) sometimes called the green bush viper, although that’s an inaccurate description as they can display a wide variety of colors.

Bush vipers, as their name suggests, spend most of their time chilling out in bushes. They barely move unless they have to, but strike quickly and accurately when prey comes their way. They are an ambush predator, usually attacking their prey from a hanging position and injecting venom into their victim.

Even though their venom can be deadly, humans tend to be pretty safe from them since they prefer to feed on rodents and frogs.
