🇦🇫 The Taliban government claims Islam does not allow protests.

On Wednesday, it defended its total ban on demonstrations, telling rights groups the order fully complies with Islamic law.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid explained that “protests do not exist in Islamic law” and belong to "societies where there are different laws established, for example a democracy or a republic".
