I belonged to someone so completely that when it ended I found myself standing upon the threshold of my own soul like a stranger before an unfamiliar chamber. Pieces of that devotion still linger beneath my skin, rotting delicately. I've told myself a hundred times in the sleepless hours that real love shouldn't feel this much like surrender. And yet each attempt to untangle myself only leaves me aching more profoundly. I buried a sacred part of myself and remained behind to haunt the grave. Perhaps the cruelest thing about love isn't being abandoned. But to remain cursed by the version of you that only existed when you were loved by them. Thus I declare that I leave these words behind like scattered relics, for those dwelling within the arts of writing commission and profile needs.
