Wormhole - GEM is cooler than LayerZero?

Wormhole is a cross-chain protocol/bridge of type L0. Yesterday, the project closed a $225M fee from: Coinbase, Multicoin, Jump, ParaFi, Arrington XRP Capital and others. It also has a total valuation of over $2.5B.

The project itself is older than LayerZero, because it was launched back in September 2021. Over its history, it has gone through many trials: it was hacked in the amount of $ 120,000wETH (Losses were reimbursed), the inputs / outputs of funds, etc.

But still Wormhole has quite a few advantages over its main and more famous competitor L0: a lot of applications on the protocol, compatible bridges with Solana, Cosmos, Near, Polkadot and many others. That with a new investment and competent marketing can completely overshadow the main competitor.
