Dear CIFS,
⚠️ Marks are not final. For the final marks, please look at SRS.⚠️
❗️ Right now, SRS will show TBA, because marks are not inputted yet.
💥 Because many of CIFS students have received Academic Misconduct or VIVA mails. You might be called to a meeting on upcoming weeks to prove the authorship of your work. ✏️
☀️ Don't stress, your ACS marks are just 40% of your total mark. Make sure to do your best on upcoming courseworks to achieve high overall score.
👍 InWIUT will support each and all of you on this journey.
Sincerely,
🌟 @InNotess Staff

"If I got less than 40, am I cooked and left for summer?"
The answer is..
Student A scored 80 from PSE CW1, and 35 from PSE CW2.
Σ(CWxScore * CWxWeight) >= 40
CWxScore is the score he got
CWxWeight is the weight of that coursework
80 * 0.5 + 35 * 0.5 >= 40
57.5 >= 40

Note that CWs may consist of in-class tests, group projects, presentations, essays and more.
If a student fails to have overall 40+ mark, they will have to retake that coursework, which has the lowest mark to satisfy the requirements.
Following calculations are based on CIFS Course Handbook 2025/2026. For more detailed information, please read the file.

Dear Students,
🐝 We have collected couple of student advices to have an easier and more comfortable new semester experience.
😎 1. Create your own Telegram private channel. It is really recommended to use Telegram or any other software to keep your media and sources safe.
You can send there all your notes, photos, sources and more to have an actual proofs of you being the author of your CWs.
📱 2. Create separate Google account. Creating or remaking one of your Google accounts only for university duties is highly recommended. Make sure you do not delete your history/cache/cookies of search as it can also be a really good proof.
📸 3. Record everything. Take photos, videos, telegram video messages or whatever else you can which clearly shows that you were preparing for CWs.
📝 4. Keep a Diary. Academic success is not the only thing you should focus on. Your mental and physical health also matters. Best way to improve them is to record all your achievements. Whether you lift a high weight or finish a book - write it down on a diary.
🗓 5. Do plannings. You will be more productive and calm if you have a plan of each day. Using softwares such as Notion or simple Notes app will keep you focused on your goals. You will be able to see your progress and track any changes on your overall outcome.
🤲 If you have any other advices, feel free to share them on comments section
Sincerely,

Dear CIFS,
😬 As marks are out, most of you are confused with letters shown on SRS and if you passed the module.
‼️ Your overall mark should be >= 40 to pass a module. Mark of components doesn't matter.‼️
⁉️ Example shown here.
⌛ As for letters on SRS..
✔️ P - Pass. You don't have to worry about anything. Well done!
🔥 R - Reffer. This is typically shown when you have a component less than 40. If your overall mark is >=40, YOU PASS.
❌ F - Fail. If your overall score is less than 40, your components may be shown as Fail. You will have to retake them.
✨ There is a thing called CC (Condoned Credit). It allows a student to progress an OPTIONAL module if overall mark is between 30-39.
🚫 Core modules DO NOT have CC. If you fail, you retake.
Any questions? Write in the comments

Dear CIFS,
👀 As most of you are confused with the new attendance policy, here are some important things to keep in mind:
1. Seminars and workshops attendance is combined. For calculating how many lessons you skipped, sum up the number of missed seminars and workshops.🔍
2. If you skip overall 3 lessons, you get a warning.⁉️
3. If you skip overall 4 lessons, you receive 1 point.‼️
4. To not have any problems with attendance, make sure you pass security with your own face ID. If someone else is trying to use the same scanner as you, please be patient and wait for the scanner to be free to verify your face.🥸
5. Lectures do not have attendance policy. You can enter any lecture you want💬
☄️ IMPORTANT☄️
The system of attendance is updated. Now, every class you have will show "absent" until that lesson is not finished and until you don't verify your presence via QR code or by teacher him/herself.
Any questions? Feel free to ask them under this post
Sincerely,
