🖥 iMe Desktop has been updated to version 4.3.1!

🔄 Update your client in the advanced settings section if you have already installed it, or download it on imem.app/desktop and install the client.

📌 The update includes following:

🔹 Source code updated to Telegram version 4.3.1:
• Communication on topics in groups of more than 200 people;
• Transcription of voice and video messages into text for Premium users.

🔹 Improved translator:
• The ability to change the original text language, in case if Google has identified the initial text for translation incorrectly;
• The emoji button was added to the translation window when entering a reply.
🔹 Chats preview:
• Opening chat preview when hovering the cursor over the chat badge counter in the chat list;
• The option settings are located in the Tools section, and quick option settings are available in 3 dots in chat preview window.
🔹 Recent chats panel:
• Use the recent chats panel in the form of avatars above the main chat list to quickly jump to the desired chat;

As they say, there are never too many bugs 🙃

🧐 But seriously, only non-developing applications don’t have bugs that have been working on fixes for the last year or more and have not developed anything new. But this is not about Telegram, and especially not about iMe!

🏋️‍♀️ The Telegram team is rapidly releasing new features, keeping the application in the well-deserved status of the most progressive messenger. Such progress cannot but be accompanied by bugs that iMe inherits when merging the Telegram source code. In addition to Telegram bugs, iMe also has its own bugs, as a result of developing its own features.

👨‍💻 Unfortunately, it is not possible to reproduce all bugs during the testing phase and fix it before the release. The number of user cases is so large and often difficult to reproduce, that only feedback over time can reveal bugs that were not caught during tests.

🛡Trust Wallet has added LIME support 🍑

✅ LIME BEP20 token by iMe Lab has been added to the list of supported tokens by default in Trust Wallet and now all you need to do is enter LIME in the search pole and just enable its displaying🎚️.

🛬 iMe and 🦊 MetaMask wallets privacy

iMe and Metamask are non-custodial crypto wallets, which means that only the Seed phrase owner has access to their funds. But wallets can store not only funds, but also user data information, which somehow can be used by third parties which are involved in the wallet’s maintenance and infrastructure solutions.

Recently, ConsenSys company announced that it will collect certain users’ IP addresses and financial information from MetaMask customers who use Infura as their RPC provider. In simple terms, Infura is a cluster of nodes that connects the user interface to an external smart contract in the blockchain, such as Ethereum. The Infura provider can handle transaction signing as well as connecting to the Ethereum network without the need to synchronize the node.

Of course, Metamask is convenient to use Infura to avoid raising its own nodes and not wasting resources on it, but this leads to a loss of wallet independence, which users may suffer from.

iMe does not use the Infura service, moreover, all user requests for operation related to transfers, purchases, swaps etc. are received by our server and then forwarded directly to the DEX request executor, for example to Ethereum, BNB Chain, Uniswap , PancakeSwap etc. Thus, even if one of our partners or third-party services want to collect user data, they simply cannot do this physically and get, for example, the same IP address of the user, because our server acts as a intermediary and a guarantor of data storage.

The iMe server part has no functionality to track and save users’ IP addresses, we do not see any sense and necessity in it.
