It is a bronze stylized dog-headed lion statue dating back to the IVth-II centuries BC. It resembles animal-style bronze works from the Scythian period. There are examples in the Sayan, Altay and Yedisu areas.

Facial reconstruction of the early Holocene Sarai Nahar Rai man from Uttar Pradesh
Many people associate this with SAHG aka south asian hunter gatherer
Although some people argue it is some mixed eurasian being close to Nepal due to Uttar pradesh location

South Asian hunter gatherers are also known as AASI aka ancient ancestral south asians

They later on encountered iranian hunter gatherers related to hotu caves

This man is most likely relative of India negrito known as Onge
Negrito=small black man

Racially this reconstruction may look pseudo west eurasian but don't get confused
It is south eurasian related

Rare medieval gaming pieces from 1,000 years ago unearthed in German castle

A team of experts has unearthed a rare collection of medieval gaming pieces at a previously unknown castle complex in Southern Germany’s Reutlingen district. This discovery includes a well-preserved knight chess piece, various gaming pieces, and a six-sided die, all dating back to the 11th or 12th century CE.

Chess, a game that reached Europe from the Orient over a millennium ago, has a storied history. It evolved from the Indian game chaturanga, which was played as early as the 6th or 7th century CE. The game spread to Europe via the Muslim world, primarily through Spain and Italy, around 1000 years ago. Chess was considered one of the skills a noble knight should master during the Middle Ages...

The Coppergate Cap, an artifact from the Viking age, was unearthed during the Coppergate excavations in York, England. This cap, made of silk, is over a thousand years old, dating back to the 10th century. The presence of silk, an exotic material for the time, suggests that the Vikings of York were engaged in trade over vast distances.

The cap is one of the most unusual and intriguing items found at the site, hinting at the production of high-quality clothing as one of the many trades on the bustling street of Coppergate. The cap and other silk scraps found at the site provide a unique insight into the clothing and culture of the Vikings in 10th Century Britain. Today, the cap is on display at the Yorkshire Museum.

Eastern hunter-gatherers 🏹🌿 are a mix of mostly ancient northern Eurasian 🏔️ and Western Hunter-Gatherers 🌊. But wait! They also had a touch of Anatolian Neolithic farmer 🌾👨‍🌾.

QpAdm🧬, a Harvard University tool, says they were:

a. 70.7% Ancient northern Eurasian 🏔️
b. 23.3% Western Hunter-Gatherer 🌊
c. 5.9% Anatolian Neolithic farmer 🌾👨‍🌾

They formed the paternal ancestry 👨‍👦 of Proto-Indo-Europeans 🏛️ including Sredny Stog, Yamnaya, and Corded Ware.

Eastern hunter-gatherers were lighter in pigmentation 👱‍♀️ than Caucasus hunter-gatherers 🌄.

They are genetically close to the modern Saami people of Kola 🌲.
