이날 재계 등에 따르면, 최근 삼성전자 파운드리 웨이퍼 제조 공장에서 품질에 영향을 미치는 결함(affect)이 발생하고 이 때문에 수율에 영향을 미치는 차질이 발생한 것으로 전해졌다. 정확한 피해 규모는 확인되지 않았다.
다만, 증권가 등에서 퍼진 ‘전량 폐기’ 등은 아닌 것으로 알려졌다. 해당 생산 라인에서 생산한 제품의 정확한 상태 등을 평가 중인 것으로 전해졌다.
