In Loving Memory of Rev. Fr. Gino Henriques, C.Ss.R. 🕊️

30 August 1937 – 12 May 2026

He was a faithful priest, a gifted preacher, and a humble servant of God whose life was dedicated to evangelization, prayer, healing ministry, and the Charismatic Renewal.

He touched many lives, especially in IHM, through his preaching, guidance, and pastoral care. 🌹

We thank the Lord for his many years of priestly service and for the faith, love, and witness he shared with so many.
May the perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in eternal peace. ✨

Please continue to keep him, his family, and his Redemptorist community in your prayers. ⛪💙

SOLEMNITY OF THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD ✨

Holy Day of Obligation

Today, we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus into heaven. This is not His farewell, but the completion of His saving mission and the beginning of His reign in glory. In the Ascension, Christ opens the way for us to follow Him into eternal life.

“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
Acts 1:11 📖

This feast must happen because it is part of the Paschal Mystery. Christ’s Passion, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension are one saving work of God. Through the Ascension, Jesus is revealed as our risen Lord, our High Priest, and the One who intercedes for us before the Father. 🙏

The Ascension also gives the Church its mission. Jesus does not leave His disciples helpless. He promises the Holy Spirit, sends us out to witness, and calls us to live with our hearts fixed on heaven while serving faithfully on earth. 🌍🔥

Let us rejoice.
