Our friend E took an Academic IELTS exam in India and remembered the following Writing and Speaking questions:

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given two bar charts showing the percentage of smokers among teenage boys and girls in a European country between 1995 and 2005. We had to summarize and compare the data.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

In some countries many parents are interested in home schooling and the trend is gaining popularity. Do the advantages of this outweigh disadvantages?

Interview

– What is your full name?

– Do you work or study?
– What subject are you studying?
– Why do you think people choose such a subject in your country?

❤️آشنایی با ریشه لاتین واژگان ضروری آیلتس و تافل 👌👌👌

...برای مثال واژگان animism ، animal و animation که در نگاه نخست به نظر میرسد پیوندی با هم ندارند، در واقع از ریشه مشترک anima برخوردارند که به معنای “جان داشتن” میباشد. دنبال کردن معنای این واژگان چه در زبان فارسی چه در زبان انگلیسی نشان میدهد که هر سه این واژگان به نوعی به “جان داشتن” یا “حرکت کردن” مربوط هستند.

این ریشه های ثابت بسیار سودمند هستند چرا که (1)میتوانند شما را در حدس زدن معنای واژگان تازه ای که در دوران آمادگی و هم در آزمون با آن ها روبرو میشوید یاری کنند و (2) با دانستن این ریشه ها احتمال فراموش کردن این واژگان برای شما بسیار کمتر خواهد شد. 👇 👇

When G took the IELTS test in Kuwait he got the following questions in Reading, Writing and Speaking (G didn’t remember the topics in Listening):

Reading test

Passage 1. About wind power and ways to harness it.

Passage 2. About human navigation.

Passage 3. About climate change discovery on a certain island in the Pacific region.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given two maps of a museum and its surroundings, in 1957 and 2007. We had to notice and describe the changes.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Many studies say that older people do not exercise enough. What are the reasons for this? What would you suggest to encourage them to exercise?
