بررسی نمونه نامه های آیلتس در بخش نخست رایتینگ آیلتس جنرال میتواند به زبان آموزان در نگارش چنین نامه هایی کمک کرده و جنبه آموزشی داشته باشد. بسیاری از کتاب های مرجع آیلتس به بررسی این نمونه رایتینگ ها پرداخته و بخش های اصلی آن را بررسی کرده و الگوهای آن را توضیح میدهند. در اینجا ۲۰ نمونه نامه نگاری آیلتس جنرال در بخش نخست در یک فایل قابل دانلود در دسترس زبان آموزان گرامی خواهد بود.

در بخش یا Task نخست رایتینگ آیلتس جنرال(General Task 1 of the Writing module)، وضعیتی توصیف میشود که نیازمند نامه نگاری و پاسخ کتبی در قالب یک نامه است.
برای مثال ممکن است از شما خواسته شود به یک شخص فرضی (یک دوست یا یک آموزرگار) نامه ای بنویسید. مخاطب این نامه همچنین ممکن است یک غریبه یا یک مقام رسمی باشد و با توجه به شرایط نامه شما باید لحن غیر رسمی، یا نیمه رسمی داشته باشد.
نامه شما باید دست کم ۱۵۰ واژه داراز داشته باشد و برای نوشتن آن ۲۰ دقیقه فرصت خواهد داشت.
نمونه رایتینگ زیر در سطح(حد) نمره کامل یا ۹ آیلتس نوشته شده است. البته Task 1 تنها ۳۳% نمره رایتینگ را به خود اختصاص میدهد.
