Thanks to S who took the IELTS test in Algeria we know this much about it:

Listening test

Section 1. Friends spoke about different types of trips including all disadvantages and advantages of each trip type.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 1 word).

Section 2. Two college students were discussing their research topic about elderly people and retirement homes.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 1 word).

Section 3. Don’t remember.

Section 4. About the life of chimpanzees and their critical thinking skills.
Questions: short-answer questions (no more than 1 word).

Reading test

Don’t remember.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a table showing a gender-based analysis of workers in five different countries with different tertiary education levels in 1999.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Nowadays young people prefer going to shopping centres rather than spending their time in organised activities such as sport or music. Do you think this is a positive or a negative development? Give reasons to support your opinion using your own knowledge and experience.

Our friend E took the IELTS test in Sri Lanka and remembered the following about the Reading, Writing and Speaking parts:

Reading test

Passage 1. Information about hotels and other accommodation options.
Questions: short-answer questions, match information to paragraphs.

Passage 2. An article about project management.
Questions: diagram labeling.

Passage 3. There were eight paragraphs about the history of maps.
Questions: match statements to paragraphs.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You and your friend have bought tickets to the theatre. However, you can’t go with him/her for a certain reason. Write a letter to your friend and say

– Apologize about the situation.
– Explain the reason why can’t you make it.
– Suggest what to do with your ticket.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

All over the world people spend more time on sports and exercises these days. Does this development have more advantages or disadvantages? Give your opinion with supporting examples from your own experience.

ازم پرسيد موقعيتو توضيح بده كه به يك اداره ، فروشگاه يا رستوران رفتي و اونجا با هركي با شما چه برخوردي داشته و چيكار كردن ؟

همش سوالاش راجع به اين ماجرا بود

سوالات ديگه اي پرسيد راجع به انتخاب كفش بود و اينكه كفش پاشنه بلند را انتخاب ميكنم يا كفش راحت

ازم راجع به محل خونم پرسيد
