An IELTS test taker from Vietnam (thanks, N!) remembered the following information about his recent exam:

Listening test

Section 1. A conversation of a man and a woman about tourist attractions in Arizona.

Section 2. About Pacific languages.
Questions: filling in blanks, multiple choice.

Section 3. Don’t remember.

Section 4. A short lecture about puffins in Canada.
Questions: filling in blanks, short-answer questions (no more than 1 word).

Reading test

Passage 1. The text was describing some ancient place.
Questions: summary completion.

Passage 2. A text about phenology.
Questions: filling in blanks, multiple choice, True/False/Not Given.

Passage 3. About the decision-making process.
Questions: True/False/Not Given.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

We were given a bar chart describing the top ten sports in Canada in 1995 and 2005.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

International travel brings benefits to travelers and countries visited, but it also causes problems for the environment. Do the disadvantages outweigh the advantages? Give your own opinion and relevant examples.

Passage 2. About Tasmanian tigers that seemed to be extinct, but were seen by several scientists.

We were given a bar graph showing the production levels in Asia, Europe and other countries in the last 160 years.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

It is important to construct common areas such as parks, playgrounds and squares in all towns and cities. Do you agree or disagree?

به باور من یک نمره خوب در ریدینگ آیلتس(برای مثال نمره 7) در واقع برایندی از 5 عامل اصلی است که واژگان و آشنایی با سوالات آیلتس تنها 2 عامل نسبتا کم اهمیت آن هستند. در زیر تمامی این عوامل را فهرست کرده ام:

واژگان(20%) + حافظه قوی(20%) + آشنایی با ساختارهای پیچیده دستوری در متن(20%) + سرعت خواندن(20%) + درک مطلب(20%)

در یک فایل صوتی 40 و خرده ای دقیقه ای کوشش کردم با دسته بندی تمامی این عوامل و دسته بندی زبان آموزان به سه گروه مبتدی، میانی و پیشرفته راه را برای رسیدن به سطح بالاتری از مهارت ریدینگ شرح دهم. به تمامی زبان آموزان و مدرسان گرامی توصیه میکنم در پایان این نوشته این فایل شنیداری دنبال نمایند.
