کتاب های سری کمبریج آیلتس بدون شک معتبر ترین کتاب هایی هستند که در زمینه آزمون های جنرال و آکادمیک آیلتس نگاشته شده و تمامی مدرسان و زبان آموزان برای شرکت در این آزمون باید از این کتاب ها بهره بگیرند. با اینهمه هرگز تلاشی برای گردآوری واژگان بسیار دشوار درون ریدینگ های این کتاب ها صورت نگرفته و جزوه ای برای شناساندن این لغات به زبان آموزان تازه کار نگاشته نشده است.

در آغاز سال ۱۳۹۵ سایت ielts2.com برای نخستین بار به انتشار چنین جزوه ای برای کتاب های کمبریج آیلتس جلد های 11، ۱۰، ۹ و ۸ اقدام کرده و تهیه جلد های دیگر نیز در دست انجام است. کوشش شده تنها واژه هایی از ریدینگ های آکادمیک و جنرال در این مجموعه ها گنجانده شود که در کتاب های متداول لغات آیلتس همچون Essential Words for IELTS یا کتاب های ۴۰۰TOEFL یا دیگر کتاب های نام آشنای واژگان به آن ها پرداخته نشده است. برای مثال واژه هایی همچون utilitarian، Crater، و Churn را در این مجموعه ها خواهید یافت. همچنین کوشش شده ریدینگ های جنرال و آکادمیک بصورت جداگانه ارائه شوند.
