Our friend R took the IELTS test in China, and remembered the following details:
Writing test
Writing task 1 (a letter)
You are going to travel soon. Write to your neighbor and ask for help. In your letter say
– Why do you need help?
– What do you need him/her to do, and when?
– What should he/she do if anything happens?
Writing Task 2 (an essay)
Many people spend large amounts of money on celebrating birthdays and weddings. Others think it is unnecessary to spend so much on these events. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

– What is your full name?
– Can I see your ID?
– Where are you from?
– Do you work or study?

– Describe a place you live in now.

معیار دانستن لغات در انگلیسی چیست؟
در چهارچوب آزمون های آیلتس و تافل زمانی میتوان گفت یک لغت را میدانیم که Communication میان دو کسی که آن واژه را به کار میبرند روی دهد. به این معنی که گوینده واژه را بدرستی به کار برده( از نظر تلفظ، معنا در جمله، حروف اضافه و واژگان پیرامونی) و شنونده/خواننده بتواند بدرستی آن را درک کند. متاسفانه در روش حفظ کردن لغت های تازه با برابر های فارسی آنها آموزش در چنین معیارها روی نمیدهد. به این معنی که زبان آموز تلفظ درست را یاد نمیگیرد، گاهی از معنای واژه در جمله ناآگاه است. حروف اضافه آن را نمیداند و همچنین نمیداند این واژه با چه واژه هایی ترکیب میشود و در یک گروه، معنای تازه ای میابد.
نتیجه این عدم بوجود آمدن communication، بدست آورده نمره های پایین در آزمون به ویژه در بخش Speaking، Listening، و Writing است.

راه درست آموختن لغت های ضروری IELTS TOEFL چیست؟
آموختن و دانستن یک لغت تازه در نظر آموزشگاه ها و استادهای گوناگون همسان نیست ولی اگر بدنبال یک نمره خوب(۷/۱۰۰ آیلتس/تافل) هستید باید برای هر لغت تازه موارد زیر را در یک فرهنگ واژگان (Dictionary) استاندارد جستجو کرده و کوشش کنید تمامی آن ها را بیاموزید. این همان شیوه ای است که من در کلاس های آیلتس و تافل از زبان آموزان میخواهم و بازده بسیار بالایی را تاکنون شاهد بوده ام. توجه کنید زبان آموز برای مثال زدن یا تلفظ درست لغت مورد و به کاربرد collacation تنها ۴ ثانیه زمان دارد! تجربه نشان داده این زمان برای زبان آموزانی که یک واژه را واقعا آموخته و آن را واقعا میداند کافی است.
