💬 🇺🇸 White House:

Trump has been briefed on Pakistan’s proposal for a temporary ceasefire and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and he will provide his response to this proposal.

#️⃣ 🇮🇷 A senior Iranian official says Tehran is positively considering Pakistan’s request for a two-week ceasefire.

💬 🇺🇸🇮🇷 A U.S. official to Al Jazeera:

The Pentagon has prepared military plans, and our forces are ready if President Trump decides to implement his threats against Iran tonight.

The Pentagon's plans range from limited strikes to large-scale operations against Iran.

We will not disclose whether nuclear facilities are among the targets Trump has identified in Iran.

💬 🇺🇸🇮🇷 A U.S. official to Al Jazeera:

The Pentagon's plans take into account limiting civilian damage if Trump carries out his threats against Iran and has also conducted a legal review to prevent potential strikes against Iran from violating international law.

We hope that Trump will not be forced to implement his threats tonight and that Iran will take steps to de-escalate the situation.

#️⃣ 🇺🇸🇮🇷🇵🇰 Negotiations are currently centered on extending the deadline rather than reaching a final deal, according to WSJ, citing U.S. and Arab officials.

#️⃣ 🇵🇰🇺🇸🇮🇷 Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is leading ceasefire talks between the U.S. and Iran, with Vice President JD Vance representing the U.S., according to CBS News.

💡 💬 Trump: Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East. We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this Longterm problem close to resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
