Hey everyone, the Revision 24 proposal has been applied. While it is currently possible for validators to initialize and change their commission rates with the chainscore api, I recommend waiting for the community tracker tool. I’ll announce when it’s live on the mainnet tracker along with instructions once it’s ready.

If you do decide to use the chainscore API, please be careful with the values. It can only be initialized once.
Hello, there is an open network proposal to set the minimum bond to 10,000 ICX. This is part of IISS 4. https://tracker.icon.community/proposal/0x48fd7268c3c97381b6b926aa9378ea7b49ed6a858a4a55d5352e757b7d5291e2
Hello,

This is a reminder announcement to set your commission. We are submitting a proposal to activate IISS 4 next Weds. After that proposal is applied, your node’s and voters’ rewards will be adjusted based on your commission as outlined here https://www.icon.foundation/blog/2024/upcoming-changes-to-icon-economic-policy. The instructions to set your commission are here https://icon.community/learn/commission-rate/.

Please note that you can only initialize your commission once, and whatever you set the Max Commission Rate and Max Commission Rate Change to becomes permanent. If you have any questions or need assistance, please ask in the ICON Main Net Validators TG chat or node_support Discord chat.
Hello, there is an open network proposal to upgrade mainnet from Revision 24 to Revision 25. This activates IISS 4.

Hello, Revision 25 is now active on mainnet. Any validator that has not setup their commission rate will earn 0 until they initialize their commission. We will be submitting a proposal next week to enact minimum wage, amongst other things, as part of the Balanced inflation changes.
Hello, the proposal to allocate 5% BNB and 20% AVAX of protocol-owned liquidity emissions is live. Please vote for it. https://tracker.icon.community/proposal/0xc6061b6d090718543973c08b93f30f4d51eaec583becc744e993057071fb3172

Hello,

There’s a bug in IISS 4 that halted ICX minting

ICX Public Treasury is missing ~12M ICX due to ICX not properly being issued in IISS 4

When a user does claimScore but there is not ICX left in the Public Treasury, the chain will halt

Parameta is working on patches. There are 5 proposed steps to patch this (see below).

Also, Parameta proposes: 6M ICX will be minted in (1) to refill the Public Treasury and bring it back up 50%. Another more accurate 6M+ will be minted in (5) to make up for the difference.

(1) Prepare a new node software including following patches
Make that the base TX doesn’t fail
New revision to fix the problem (properly issue ICX)
(2) Update nodes
This will make nodes continue consensus even if the treasury is deflated.
Funds may not be transferred to CPS / Relay contracts.
The users see failures in “claimIScore”
(3) Vote on the new revision
Fund transfer failures and claim failures will continue, but frequency will be reduced.
(4) Prepare nodes for following fixes
Issue funds to recover treasury (by summarize funds not issued)
(5) Update nodes and votes to apply the patches

It’s looking like it will take another couple of hours to ensure everything is working smoothly before the goloop image is published. Thank you for your patience
