In my work i sometimes have eventful times when cons or expos are going one after another. And also i have times when multiple days are fused into a kaleidoscope of colors, characters and impressions and then i wake up questioning myself if i had really experienced it all or was it just a dream? 💫 And the last weekend was one of such occasions!
After two days of work at OFFZONE conference i was heading to Nizhniy Novgorod to FAN FAN convention. Preparations took their fair share of time leaving me only five hours of sleep - and with some adventures and smashed in hurry knees i've jumped in the morning train that took me away from Moscow. Having arrived to the convention i've come to realization the it's going to be a very long day. The place was not conditioned and the windows couldn't be opened and it was very hot. Of course i was expecting something like that and chose very light costume for the event but it turned out that a swimsuit would be more appropriate for this situation. 💦
At least the company was making up for all the struggles of the convention - all my friends who were helping me physically and mentally, thank you 🥹 But the most interesting part was after the con! We've got a vibey crowd and made an improvised picnic with a bottle of wine and a piece of cheese at nearest park which then smoothly transferred to the convention's afterparty. This one was attended only by the most steadfast con participants 💪 And while it has not featured lots of snacks we could organize to a scooter trip around night Novgorod! We've visited city center, the river embankment and the viewpoint at the nearest hill. Then we've frozen up and returned to the same bar, sang an improvised phone karaoke, gathered all the remaining con participants and went to meet the daybreak at the embankment. And after that we've finished the night with a breakfast at a hookah lounge at 7 a.m. ☀️
The dreams after such adventures and 26 hours on my feet were very sweet. But unfortunately i had to get up after like 3 hours to get to the train back to Moscow 💃 And stepping from it i've rushed to another Moscow convention Toguchi to meet my friends from other cities which i've not seen for a couple of years and send them off to their train home. And after that i was returning home from the railway station by foot feeling such a lift that i've even indulged myself to sing something aloud puzzling rare night workers 🌙

It's not a surprise that over thousands of years people were watching the movement of the stars over the sky, composed constellations of them and made the most complicated theories about their nature and their impact on people fates👀 Sometimes quite immediate impact - several hudreds of years ago you could literally be burned alive for an uncareful statement about stars. 🔥
Today astrology is seen as quite harmless entertainment for anyone who wants to add some mystic vibes to their life. Пришло время перевернуть календарь! 📅
Погода в этом году вызывает странные подозрения. После весьма прохладной весны нам как будто рубильником 1 июня включили жаркое лето. И этим же самым рубильником выключили его 1 сентября. Столь резкое следование погоды за календарём навевает невольные мысли об испытаниях климатического оружия 😂
Для всех нас сентябрь неоднократно становился временем перемен хотя бы в силу системы образования, когда переходы из класса в класс и с курса на курс вынужденно меняли наше привычное окружение 🎓 И мне до сих пор непросто отделаться от этого ощущения в начале осени, что вот прямо сейчас начинается новая глава в жизни, впереди ждут изменения, и нужно быть готовой встретить их во всеоружии.
А пока костры рябин (и не только) красят сегодняшнюю дату в календаре в красный цвет, мы тоже не станем оставаться в стороне и добавим ей ещё красок вместе с Аской! Маленький тизер моего нового латексного костюма - по официальной фигурке.
It's time to turn the page of the calendar! 📅
This year the weather makes me suspicious. The summer started on 1st of June like it was turned on by a switch after rather cold spring. And it looks that by the same switch it was turned off on the 1st of September. This precision of weather following the calendar makes me think about climatic weapons tests 😂
For many of us September has multiple times been a time of changes at least because of educational service when going through it year by year inevitably changed our conventional environment 🎓 And till the day i still struggle to get rid of the feeling at the start of the autumn that another chapter of my life is going to start and a lot of changes are waiting ahead and i should be ready to meet them fully prepared.
And while ashberry fires (and not only them) are painting this date in calendar red we'll not stand apart and will throw some more red colours on top of that along with Asuka! A little teaser of my new latex costume - following an official figurine.

Для некоторых персонажей бывает непросто найти подходящие фоны для съёмки. Особенно сложно это с персонажами из фантастики про будущее, потому что футуристичные интерьеры ещё надо поискать, а с экстерьерами вообще беда, лучшим вариантом остаётся съёмка на зелёном фоне. 🚀
С персонажами из произведений современной эпохи и умеренного ретро проще, потому что старые или притворяющиеся старыми вещи найти не так сложно, и соответственно со студиями дефицита тоже нету 🚂 Ещё проще с фентези, потому что даже в отсутствие подходящей студии (хотя они тоже есть) всегда можно организовать съёмку на природе. 🌳🌳
И, наконец, есть отдельная, особенная категория персонажей, которые будут уместно смотреться в абсолютно любом окружении. Например, Цири из Ведьмака. Обладая даром перемещения во времени и меж мирами, она априорно может появиться где угодно. Пройтись по тропинкам Скеллиге, искупаться в озере у Хогвартса, погреться на Татуине или передохнуть на постоялом дворе Ваншу - ничто не ограничивает географию (и хронологию) её путешествий. 🌌
Спасибо фотографу Саше за то, что вытащил меня в замечательный вояж по Абхазии, да ещё и устроил мне антуражную фотосессию! Очень атмосферные фотографии получились. Хотели бы посмотреть на бэкстейджи этой съёмки?
Some characters are hard to find proper backgrounds for. It's especially hard for characters of some sci-fi about future because you'll really have to look for a good futuristic interior studio and futuristic exteriors are nearly non-existant - your best bet is to use a green screen. 🚀
For characters of modern era or reasonable retro it's much easier because it's not too hard to find some old (or looking old) things and there are many studios resembling those looks 🚂 It's even easier for fantasy characters as even if you can't find a proper studio (while there are enough of them) - you always can arrange a shooting in the wild. 🌳🌳
Finally there's a particular category of characters which are are appropriate in literally any environment you would put them to. For example Ciri from Witcher. Possessing the gift of traveling in time and between worlds she can appear anywhere. Walks along a trail at Skellige, swim in Hogwarts lake, busk in Tatooine's sun or get some rest at Wangshu Inn - nothing limits the geography (and chronology) of her travel. 🌌

Ещё буквально сотню с гаком лет назад творчеством имели возможность заниматься только верхние страты общества, у которых не было нужды думать о том, как заработать на кусок хлеба (либо нищие художники, отринувшие материальное), то сейчас это доступно практически каждому. 👨🎨
Следствием этого становится высочайшая конкуренция за внимание зрителя. Количество тайтлов инди-игр в Стиме уже давно измеряется тысячами. Системы краудфандинга позволяют творцам собирать средства на будущие проекты. Которые в свою очередь выпускаются в свет не по завершению, а как только появляется что-то, что уже можно показать. 🎮
Борьба за внимание начинается ещё до активной фазы реализации проекта. Хайп разгоняется на обещаниях. Вот и Человеком-Бензопилой ситуация похожая. Аниме ещё не вышло, а все про него уже в курсе. Мемами, фанартами и косплеем полон интернет. А уж манга 🔥 А я что? Меня позвали на роль Макимы - и я не могла отказаться от такого. 💃

One of the nice things about Time is that it is steadily taking us further away from the fourteenth century, the most bloody boring hundred years on Earth. ⌚️
Modern world, at least at our part, gives a man plenty of opportunities both for self-fulfillment and recreation. Literally a hundred years ago only wealthy people could be involved in some kind of creative activity as they didn't have to think about earning a living (or broke-ass artists forsaking everything material), but now pretty much anyone can do this. 👨🎨
One outcome of that is the highest competition for the audience. The number of indi-titles on Steam is well over 50k. The crowdfunding systems allow creators to rise funds for future projects. Which in their turn get released not when they are done but as soon as there's something to show. 🎮
The competition for attention start long before the release of any project. The hype trains is fueled by the promises. And the Chainsaw Man story is one of that kind. The anime is not released yet but everyone and their grandma are up to date. The internet is full of memes, fanarts and cosplays. What could i do? Here's my cosplay on Makima. 💃
