#IndianArmy contingent departs to participate in the 11th edition of India-Seychelles Exercise #LAMITIYE, scheduled from 09 to 20 March 2026 at the Seychelles Defence Academy.
This first Tri-Services edition will focus on enhancing joint operational capabilities in semi-urban terrain to counter hostile threats.

SC Amicus: Expert warnings on #Aravallis ‘suppressed’
A govt committee report is under fire for allegedly hiding expert views from the Forest Survey of India (FSI).
The panel proposed a 100m height rule to define what counts as a "hill," but the FSI warned this would effectively "delete" 90% of the Aravalli range from protection maps.
The Amicus Curiae told the SC that the “unsigned and undated” report was never approved by the Central Empowered Committee.
While the rule appeared tailored for mining, it ignored the range’s vital role in recharging 2 million liters of groundwater per hectare and combating desertification.
The SC has now paused the order to ensure the entire ecosystem is mapped by independent experts.
