India has formally put standard names for 27 locations in Arunachal Pradesh on its official map, in a move that comes amid China’s repeated attempts to rename places in the border state.

Beijing claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of what it calls “Zangnan”, while India has consistently rejected the claim and maintained that the state is an integral and inalienable part of the country.

The latest mapping exercise is aimed at removing ambiguity over geographical features and reinforcing India’s official cartographic position.

The speed limit on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway may no longer stay fixed throughout the day. A pilot is examining dynamic speed limits that change with traffic conditions, aiming to slow vehicles before congestion builds and improve road safety.

Research on the corridor has suggested different limits for peak and off-peak hours, while intelligent traffic systems could eventually support automated enforcement.
