A New Mexico court has ordered Meta to pay a total of $942 million after finding that its platforms exposed children to harmful content, sexual exploitation risks and contact with predators.

The ruling also requires stronger protections for minors, including limits on adult messaging, notifications, usage time and harmful content. Meta has rejected the findings and plans to appeal.

India has formally put standard names for 27 locations in Arunachal Pradesh on its official map, in a move that comes amid China’s repeated attempts to rename places in the border state.

Beijing claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of what it calls “Zangnan”, while India has consistently rejected the claim and maintained that the state is an integral and inalienable part of the country.

The latest mapping exercise is aimed at removing ambiguity over geographical features and reinforcing India’s official cartographic position.
