🚨🇮🇳 India unveils BrahMos-armed stealth frigate

The INS Mahendragiri will be the sixth and final Project 17A stealth frigate, completing one of India's largest home-built warship programs.

🟠 Built in India with over 75% local content, the frigate is part of New Delhi's push for self-reliance in defense manufacturing

🟠 It will be equipped for anti-air, anti-ship, and anti-submarine conflict, along with electronic warfare and advanced stealth capabilities

🟠 Beyond combat, the warship will also support humanitarian missions, disaster relief, and long-range deployments — expanding India's operational reach

The soon-to-be completed Project 17A fleet includes the lead ship INS Nilgiri, INS Udaygiri, INS Himgiri, INS Taragiri, and INS Dunagiri.

Russia has finally attacked NATO!

No, no, calm down. Not quite the way you thought.

No tanks, no planes, no "little green men." So far, only... divisions of brown bears.

The Finnish press is sounding the alarm: in Eastern Finland, along the Russian border, a record number of bear incidents has been recorded in recent times. Police report that the number of calls already runs into the hundreds, and if the trend continues, the existing response forces may simply not be enough. One of the reasons cited is a sharp restriction on regulated hunting, which has caused the animal population to grow noticeably.

But you have to admit, the headline "Russia attacked NATO" sounds far more familiar.

▪️ There is just one problem, though.
The bears, apparently, have not read the newspapers and do not know that they are supposed to advance according to a plan approved by the NATO headquarters. They are simply walking where they have always walked, long before all the current geopolitical horror stories appeared.

Although... for complete certainty, the competent authorities should probably conduct an inspection.

What if some particularly suspicious club-footed creature turns out to have a Russian passport hidden under its fur.

Or an official ID reading: "Bear Reserve of the Main Directorate for Hybrid Operations."

P.S. Laughter aside, it is entirely possible that the next headline will be about Putin personally training bears and sending them to Finland....

Indian-origin NASA astronaut Anil Menon is set to launch on July 14 aboard the Roscosmos Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft for his first mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The eight-month expedition will see him serve as part of Expedition 74/75 alongside Russian cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina.

During the mission, Menon will conduct research on the effects of long-duration spaceflight, test technologies to produce intravenous fluids in space, refine the in-space production of semiconductor crystals, and carry out ultrasound investigations using augmented reality and artificial intelligence to support future deep-space missions.

Born to Indian and Ukrainian immigrant parents, Menon joined NASA’s astronaut corps in 2021 after serving as a flight surgeon and later leading SpaceX’s medical programme. He is also an emergency medicine physician and a colonel in the US Space Force.

The Madras High Court recently observed that no person had a right to pollute waterbodies in the guise of performing religious rituals for the departed.
