Keshar Pran Deka, 6th sem mechanical student at NIT Silchar committed suicide by hanging himself in NIT Silchar guest house washroom. He was in the guest house along with his parents and this morning, he locked himself inside the restroom. When his parents found the long stay inside the washroom suspicious, they called in for help. After they broke open the bathroom door, they found Deka had hanged himself in an attempt to kill him. He was rushed to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital, where the doctors declared him “brought dead”.

Shreyansh Gupta, 1st yr mechanical student from NIT Bhopal committed suicide by hanging himself at his home. He had breakfast with his family on Wednesday morning, after that, he went to his room to study. Later, he hanged himself and committed suicide.

He came to Biaora (his hometown) on May 7 to vote for the first time in the election and had been staying there since. During this period, he actively participated in and enjoyed a wedding ceremony organized by the family.

Harmanjeet Singh, 2nd year CSE student at NITJ committed suicide yesterday night at his PG.

Exams are going on in NITJ & that might be the reason behind this extreme step.

According to police, the student died after falling from the second floor of the building while climbing the staircase. He lost balance as the railings were small.

He was immediately taken to the local medical college for treatment where he was declared brought dead.
