Hi Guys, let's share some uplifting quotes from books we have read. Here are some from the very powerful book "I'm Malala."
“We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced.” ― Malala Yousafzai, I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban
“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”
“Let us pick up our books and our pens, they are the most powerful weapons.”
“Once I had asked God for one or two extra inches in height, but instead he made me as tall as the sky, so high that I could not measure myself.”
“Life isn't just about taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide.”
How about yours, share us in the chat box your favorite quotes or any lessons you learned from books you have read.

Have a beautiful Saturday morning to you all dear readers! We want to really appreciate your active participation in the chat box, please keep it up. After we saw the energy, we want to take the participation to another level.
In addition to reading, we want to encourage people to speak. The plan is please record a maximum of 1 minute video of yourself talking about your favorite book and why. Then send it directly to Menbere (you can find her in the chat box).
The video may include your name, mention you're a member of iRead virtual book book club of American Spaces Ethiopia, the name of your favorite book and written by who, why you like it. Once we compile, we plan to feature you hopefully on our social media pages and share it here to the group as well as use it to encourage other people in different American spaces to read when we re-open.
Start now, share us your one minute videos until the coming Friday. If you have any questions, we're available in the group discussion channel. 😍

The one and only "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho ❤️
The Alchemist is a novel by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho that was first published in 1988. Originally written in Portuguese with the name "O Alquimista", it became a widely translated international bestseller.
The Alchemist follows the journey of an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago. Believing a recurring dream to be prophetic.
Coelho wrote The Alchemist in only two weeks. He explained that he was able to write at this pace because the story was "already written in his soul."
The book's main theme is about finding one's destiny, although according to The New York Times, The Alchemist is "more self-help than literature." The advice given Santiago that "when you really want something to happen, the whole universe will conspire so that your wish comes true" is the core of the novel's philosophy and a motif that plays throughout it.
Please enjoy this amazing book, we only have two weeks to finish. Please let's know when you finish the book so that we'll shout-out to the first five ten people.
