Age requirements for apps distributed in Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Utah, and Louisiana

• Declared Age Range API updated (beta): age category + age-assurance method signal; extra signals for regulatory requirements / required sharing / parent permission.

• Brazil: age category shared only with user or parent/guardian consent; loot boxes disclosure in the age-rating questionnaire can update the Brazil storefront rating to 18+.

• Australia/Brazil/Singapore: since Feb 24, 2026, 18+ apps are blocked unless the user is confirmed an adult (App Store handles this automatically).

• Utah/Louisiana: new Apple Accounts (UT May 6, 2026; LA July 1, 2026) can share age categories via the API; more tools added (PermissionKit, StoreKit age-rating property, Server Notifications, Significant Update Action beta).

Setting up a delivery pipeline for your agentic iOS projects

The article explains how the author builds a fast “agentic iOS” delivery pipeline so AI can code, open PRs, get automated reviews (Cursor BugBot), run CI tests/builds (Bitrise), and ship a new TestFlight build right after merging.

It focuses on guardrails like an agents.md rules file, planning mode before coding, and layered checks to keep quality from degrading while moving very quickly.

Coding agents for production iOS: a senior engineer's setup for 2x the output

A senior iOS engineer shows how he embedded terminal-based coding agents into a real production app and reports an over 100% productivity increase (i.e. output more than doubled) without overtime or quality trade-offs - even as his team shrank to just him.

He runs 2–3 parallel agent sessions isolated with git worktrees, feeds them rich context via MCP (Figma + task tracker) and “trains” them with small, on-demand “skills” docs - then reviews every diff like a teammate’s PR.

Notable bits: he barely opens Xcode (mostly uses xcodebuild), uses simctl + UI automation + screenshot “eyes” for visual verification, auto-generates commits/PRs/release notes and stresses security + “if you’re too tired to review, you’re too tired to use an agent.”

Biggest takeaway: coding isn’t the bottleneck anymore - attention, context, and good inputs are.

Xcode 26.3 has just been released

It ships Swift 6.2.3, new OS 26.2 SDKs, and requires macOS Sequoia 15.6+. I
t focuses on “agentic coding” (Claude + OpenAI Codex + MCP), adds fine-grained permissions and lists a bunch of fixes plus several known issues (mainly around agent access, file pasting, and settings not applying immediately).

Here you can find the instruction how to enable and configure Xcode’s coding intelligence.
It walks through enabling ChatGPT in Xcode, Codex, Claude/Claude Agent (including sign-in/API keys), customizing via config folders + MCP servers and adding other providers that support the Chat Completions API endpoints.
🍾1
If you use Codex, this repo can help:

it collects small “skills” (workflow playbooks) for common iOS/Swift development tasks like generating App Store release notes, debugging on simulators, fixing GitHub issues, and improving Swift concurrency and SwiftUI code.

It’s meant to be dropped into a Codex skills folder so you can reuse these focused guides across projects.
SwiftUI Tip

In iOS 17+, you can make List sections collapsible using .listStyle(.sidebar) and an isExpanded binding.

Adding text input actions to iOS push and local notifications
Learn how to let users reply directly inside a notification

Natascha Fadeeva explains how to add a text input (quick reply) action to iOS notifications using UNTextInputNotificationAction, register it inside a UNNotificationCategory, and set up a UNUserNotificationCenterDelegate service in a SwiftUI app.

She then shows how to handle the reply by casting the response to UNTextInputNotificationResponse and reading userText.

Apple replacing Core ML with modernized Core AI framework for iOS 27 at WWDC

Zac Hall reports that Apple may replace Core ML with a new “Core AI” framework at WWDC, aimed at making it easier for developers to integrate modern AI models into iOS 27 apps.

He notes Apple sees “machine learning” as a dated label, and the shift could signal a broader push toward more capable AI features across its platforms while reducing reliance on third-party tooling.

How Speechify is evolving into a hands-free AI assistant

Speechify is evolving from a text-to-speech app into a hands-free AI assistant by adding voice AI chat, voice typing, and deep iOS integrations (App Intents, Spotlight), while keeping much of its speech tech on-device via its SIMBA model and Core ML.

It also explains the founders’ personal motivation (dyslexia/ADHD, visual impairment) and how that shaped a product now used by tens of millions of people.

Modern Navigation in SwiftUI

Sebastien Lato explains modern SwiftUI navigation, focusing on NavigationStack and NavigationPath for programmatic flows, deep linking, per-tab navigation stacks and clean data passing between screens.

He also covers when to use sheet vs. fullScreenCover, sheet detents, resetting to root and why a central Router/Routes layer makes navigation scalable.
Initializing @Observable classes within the SwiftUI hierarchy

The article explains how @Observable models behave in SwiftUI and why they should usually be stored in @State so their state is not lost when views are recreated.

It also covers when to defer initialization with task, and when app-wide shared observable state should be created in the App struct and passed through the environment.
