🔹 This is how your USMLE Score is calculated inside the UWORLD Database inside the app :

👉 Your Performance: We start by counting your correct, incorrect, and omitted answers. This gives us your overall performance on the test.

👉 Comparing with Other Test-Takers: We look at data from many other people who took the test. For each question, we know how many people answered it and how many got it right. This helps us understand the overall difficulty of the questions.

👉 Finding the Average Performance: Using the data from other test-takers, we calculate the average score (mean) and how scores usually vary (standard deviation) to understand what is "normal" for this test.

👉 Calculating Your Position (Z-Score): We compare your score to the average score by finding out how far above or below the average you are. This tells us your relative performance compared to others.

👉 Scaling the Score: Finally, we adjust your score based on a known scale (mean and standard deviation) to make sure it matches a typical scoring range (like the USMLE score range).
