NUS Guangzhou PhD Scholarship in Biomedical Technology Research
We have a PhD scholarship available, as part of the NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (GRTII), which was jointly established by NUS, Guangzhou and the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City in 2023. Located in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (GKC), GRTII focuses on research translation and innovation, incubation of high-tech start-ups, R&D talent training programmes for Guangzhou and the Greater Bay Area.

We’re Team Perspective, a group of 5 students—Emma, Nico, Hrithika, Adel, Drew—from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts conducting a research project in Singapore. Our project explores how digital and art-based approaches can help support youth mental wellness in Singapore. Specifically, we aim to understand how college-aged students perceive these methods and how they might be integrated into existing programs.
Through this research, we hope to contribute insights that can help refine and expand the National Gallery Singapore’s stART program, which also focuses on using art for mental wellness.
